OK, who is insane enough to read through the Bible in 90 days? It's too much, right? It can't be done by "normal" people can it? I mean, sometimes you won't even know what you're reading, right? After all, without extensive study, it's just a waste of time, isn't it?
Truth? Anyone can read through the Bible in 90 days if they commit to the time, commit to the commitment and so on. Seriously, "normal" people have been doing this for some time.
As far as knowing what you're reading, any honest Bible scholar will admit that even after years of reading, studying and prayer, there are still secrets, mysteries and unknowable truths in the greatest book ever written.
Extensive Bible study is definitely a must for those who want to go deep into the Word of God. But we also need to have a more panoramic view. We need to understand the Bible stories in light of the fullness of the Bible. Understanding that all of this book is intended to be read as the Greatest Love Story of all time will help us grasp the greater majesty of any one part of the story. Why is Ruth such a shocking story? Why does it matter that she becomes part of the lineage of the greatest king of Israel? Should this story matter to me today?

Thank you. Yes, as I prepare to read the bible in 90 days I am inimidated. But I am also looking forward to finally understandin the bible a little more fully and completely. My journey begins in another month!:)
